AI literacy and the EU AI Act
Article 4 of the EU AI Act is about AI literacy. It was amended in July 2026: providers and deployers of AI systems must now take measures to support the AI literacy of their staff, and the Article states that this does not require them to guarantee any specific level of AI literacy of any individual. It sets up no certification scheme. The Act is not binding in Iceland today, since it has not been incorporated into the EEA Agreement. Our courses take account of Article 4, and every attendee leaves with a certificate documenting their training. If your organisation has operations inside the EU, Article 4 may already reach you, and if the Act is incorporated here you will not be starting from zero.
